Try W320, cashews or kernels per pound
Cashew Grades
Cashew grades describe kernel form, colour and size. W180, W240 and W320 are whole-kernel size grades: fewer kernels in the same weight means a larger average kernel. Splits, butts and smaller pieces use separate codes.
Cashew Nuts (Kaju)
Cashew nuts, or kaju, are the edible seeds of the cashew tree. The kernel is the seed inside the shell. The in-shell nut grows beneath the fleshy cashew apple, which develops from the swollen fruit stalk.
W180 Cashews
W180 is a large white whole cashew grade. In India, buyers also use the name W180 kaju. The size grade uses kernel count per pound, approximately 454 g. For bulk orders, compare colour, broken material and moisture alongside size.
W210 Cashews
W210 cashews, or W210 kaju, are large whole cashew kernels. A kernel is the edible cashew after shell removal. White whole is the name of this cashew grade. The number 210 refers to a count range for a stated weight.
W240 Cashews
W240 is a white whole cashew size grade. It generally contains 220–240 whole kernels per 454 g, or about 485–530 per kg. Before a wholesale order, confirm the count system, colour, breakage limit, preparation and a representative batch sample.
W320 Cashews
W320 is a white whole cashew size grade with 300–320 whole kernels per 454 g. AFI lists 660–706 kernels per kg. Before buying wholesale, confirm the grading standard, colour, breakage limit and a representative sample from the offered batch.
W400 Cashews
W400 cashews are white whole kernels graded by size. The older Indian grading range is about 770–880 whole kernels per kilogram. That corresponds to 350–400 whole kernels in a 454 g sample.
W450 Cashews
W450 cashews are small, white whole cashew kernels. A kilogram contains about 880–990 kernels, equivalent to 400–450 in a 454 g grading sample. W450 is a grade assigned after shelling and sorting. It identifies the size and form of the edible kernel, rather than a variety of cashew tree.
W320 cashews
300–320 whole kernels per pound.
