Forms

In-shell, halves or pieces

Choose with purpose

Match the cut and preparation to your intended use.

At home in the kitchen

Break walnut halves over a salad, chop into a loaf, or blend into a herb sauce. A brief, gentle toast can develop aroma; keep an eye on small pieces, which colour faster than whole halves.

What to look for

For a decorative finish, look for intact halves. For baking, evenly sized pieces are practical. Store tightly closed, away from heat, and follow the pack guidance; reject nuts with mould or an off smell.

For a wholesale brief

Start with the intended use, preferred form, quantity and packaging needs. Grade, sample approval, availability, pricing and supply terms need to be agreed separately; this guide is not a statement of stock availability.

Before you eat

This is a tree nut. Avoid it if you have the relevant allergy, and read the pack allergen statement. For dietary needs or medical conditions, use individual advice from a qualified professional.
